Planaquí, website of the Fuerteventura events app showing the day’s programme

Planaquí is Studio Jable’s most recent digital product: a free iOS and Android app that takes the published programmes of Fuerteventura’s local fiestas, romerías, markets, music and cultural events and turns them into clear schedules, act by act, sorted by date, time and place. It has been available on the App Store and Google Play since 15 October 2026.

The product was designed and built from scratch and followed through its whole life cycle: requirements, UI/UX design, development, testing, release and publication on the stores. Alongside the app there is a website in Spanish, English and Italian with the sections “Words of the island” and Magazine.

Features

  • The day’s programme in order: what has already started, what begins shortly, what comes next.
  • A month view highlighting the days with the most events.
  • Search, favourites and content in three languages.
  • Explanations of programme terms with no direct translation, such as parranda, romería or verbena, right in the event card.
  • Interactive maps, geolocation and historic places near each event, with their history and the source of the information.
  • Native integrations: home screen widgets, local notifications, sharing from the system menu and adding events to the calendar.

Architecture

A single React and TypeScript codebase, shipped to iOS and Android with Capacitor. Domain logic is kept separate from the interface, written in plain TypeScript and tested without a browser or a phone. The app keeps the last valid copy of the data and also works offline. Visual regressions in the interface are checked with Playwright.

Data and privacy

The programmes come from a daily AI-assisted pipeline: collection from the published programmes, schema and data validation in CI, human review of every text written by the AI, and publication to a dataset that the app stores for offline use. Usage statistics are enabled only with consent, are hosted in the European Union and store no identifiers on the device; they guide development and release planning.

Availability

Planaquí is free to download from the App Store and Google Play. The website is planaqui.com.
